Satuit clients using the latest version of SatuitPAC software (Packman v 5) are consistently reporting substantial savings in time and associated costs, often 60% or more. One of the most beneficial new features of Packman 5 is the Global Document Search function (GDS). GDS allows a user to specify a string of special characters or numbers within a large PDF document to break the document into individual PDFs. A 500 page report containing individual client information can easily be broken down into separate documents for delivery to each. SatuitPAC will also generate a single PDF, along with a table of contents page from a group of unique documents. This means that a user can now take dozens of separate document that might be included in an RFP or a regulatory response and organize and package these documents in minutes, not hours or days. The upgrade included a compatibility pack for Office 2007 and 2010.
The software helps them automate the process of complex document packaging, including organizing, collating and packaging monthly and quarterly reports to their clients. It can also assist with the organizing and packaging RFP’s which typically contain dozens of separate supporting documents. The software, originally designed for the professional investment and wealth management markets, can work on a stand-alone basis or it can be fully integrated into a company’s other software including Satuit’s flagship product, SatuitCRM.
According to Ronald L. Bartosh, Jr., at Guyasuta Investment Advisors the upgrade has greatly reduced the time needed to generate client invoices: “ Now we can search all of our client report PDF’s and pull their invoices directly into a single document for each in alphabetical order in under 5 minutes. This will save us hours of work in accounting for our client's invoices each quarter.”
But the biggest impact may have been this, reported by Anne Kurtz at Capital Investment Services of America, who said: “We have opened up the month after quarter-end to vacations on a trial basis, something that has not been available to our employees for over 25 years. Quarterly reporting now takes three days, down from three weeks.” That’s an 80% savings.
